This video details the importance of proven provenance (authentic, documented, complete history of ownership of a work of art) for museums, galleries and collectors. It also shows the importance of knowing who you are dealing with as a collector. Art fraud represents a loss of hundreds of millions of dollars for the consumer. Know who you are dealing with when purchasing a work of art and make sure you have authentic provenance documentation from a reliable source.
